JVC 4VR-5456 Receiver
Big, beautiful 1970s JVC receiver with wooden case, aluminium fascia and drop down front panel. Please note the dimensions as this is a large, heavy unit.
Plenty of power on tap — when used as a quadraphonic, 4-channel receiver, the receiver is rated at 43 watts per channel. However, when placed in 2-channel stereo mode, it will deliver 100 watts per channel. This is done by linking the power amplifiers so that when you are playing 2-channel sound, two of the power amplifiers do not remain idle; instead, by internal connection they are reconnected so that each of the two channels passes through two power amplifiers.
There is also a degree of audiophile finesse with rear panel switching for MM and MC phono cartridges.
All ready to go — fully serviced with all controls cleaned and lubed, new dial lamps, recapped power amp boards and replacement of numerous older transistors that are known to cause issues. DC offset and bias have been reset to service manual specifications.
Multiple inputs for your turntable, CD player, iPhone or Bluetooth receiver.
